On the plus side most of the books are romance novels and I play games while she reads, so afterwards I reap the rewards of said books.
Ipad is just a fancier kindle, damn thing doesn't even have usb... fail. Even my mp3 player has usb and a micro sd drive and it is smaller than an ipod.

Re: Apple iPad
I'll say this...I don't have an iPhone but my wife does, and I was thinking of buying a kindle or some other e-Reader...if you think of this as nothing but an uber e-Reader, it is nice. I would use it for iBook - and then have incidental and instant access to a few snappy games and webpages. I travel for business like a madman and being able to do some reading and other productivity-type stuff on this little puppy on a cramped airplane - sounds sort of intriguing.

On topic, I agree the iPad seems pointless and I wouldn't be caught dead with one.

Re: Apple iPad
what does your iphone do that any other smart phone can do?
How big's that camera?
how about receiving files from anything other than other iphones and gmail accounts?
real time gps navigation? my piece of crap sprint phone does that, like a friggin garmin. Iphone doesn't. Sure...it'll tell you where you are, and maybe even make a map. Mine....is like an in-dash GPS system, with 3D and 2Dview, real time traffic, search, route adjustment.....all of it. Iphone's isn't.
don't be afraid you've been deceived. It's not like you own a mac air or something.
