Re: Need some Graphic Card Advice
with a 9800 and not a ton of drives and other crap you can probably slide by with a 350 or so. But depending on quality I would shoot for around 450-500 to make sure you have enough juice.
A bigger issue would be checking to see if the PS has enough plugs to actually plug into the 9800
Though I would tell you to skip a few more lunches and get a 500 watt PS and a Nvidia 250 or ATI 4850. There is much more future proofing of the newer cards over the 9800 and would be easier to migrate into a newer machine if you can do more upgrading down the road.

I have a spare 8800gt chilling in the box in my closet. It works fine, used for maybe 6 months, I ended up getting a gtx260. and honestly I havn't been able to tell a huge difference between the cards, maybe 10fps in css. If anyone wants it, just make me a reasonable offer and its yours.

Re: Need some Graphic Card Advice
I appreciate all the help guys but my situation just bottomed out cash wise. My gf just recently got laid off and I just put my left arm in a sling. So money has now been put into "spend if needed only" mode. If bob can use the card and wants it, all the power to him. Thanks again everyone.
