very interesting. Does anyone have an idea how much of a charge a 1ft square would hold?

This might be ok for some applications... and if the life of the battery before it dies completely is OUTRAGEOUSLY long, then maybe it will do what they want it to...

But basically, small items like phones and such would become disposable entirely. That might not be all that great for some things. For some things it would be downright horrible...

Imagine this scenario... Your Mercedes Jiggawatt 1.21 SE 500 gets itself a defective battery oh... 2 months out of warranty. And it's the roof of the car. Now you get to have them either cut the roof off your car and replace it (with the resulting welding, headliner replacement, repainting, etc) costs... or you live on a partial charge off your trunk, doors, etc. Oh no... The door battery just went south. CRAP. Labor and material rates on that kind of a failure would be astronomical.

I'll pass on a car with this for about 10 years until the shortcomings become readily apparent.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.
