I went over to microcenter and picked up this one and it works really nice.

I was not sure about the one with the hot key because I have Vista on one system and 7 on the other. This one came with a little button remote that works pretty nice. The price was great $22.00. Couldn't beat it.

Software based is the way to go! http://www.stardock.com/products/multiplicity/
I have a total of 3 monitors side by side connected to 2 computers. With Multiplicity, I seemlessly go from one side all the way to the other seemlessly. With the more expensive pro version, you can even copy and paste files between the 2 computers.
