DNS question
I have a situation where we are using AD integrated DNS zone that is off limits. We'll call it ZoneA.com.
We maintain another non AD integrated zone that is updated through dynamic DNS, this zone is not off limits and is under our control. We'll call it ZoneB.com. Our clients have this DNS zone in their connection specific DNS suffix and it sits higher in their DNS suffix list than zoneA does. Occassionally conflicts occur between ZONEA and ZONEB, and we clean those up manually - its rare though.
I am trying to figure out an automated process that will populate another (non child) DNS zone with all host names from the contents of zoneb.COM. We'll call it ZoneC.com
So if host.ZoneB.com boots up and creates a record in zoneb.com, this magical process will create the record host.ZoneC.com.
Zone clean up of course will be a mess, unless this process doesn't just create the host record, but actually overwrites the entire zone.
This is in a Windows server 2003 environment. Yes, I know its overly convoluted, but I didn't set it up and am forced to support it.
Any ideas?

Re: DNS question
We have an appliance that runs a DNS service, which could theoretically be programmed to do a zone transfer from zoneB.com, do some finding/replacing and answer for zonec.com behaving as though zonec.com is readily populated and relevant.
Programming this in is not something I know how to do, and scheduling time with our resident yoda...... is akin to visiting the dagobah system.
So I revert to my Georgia roots and jury rig it.
