    Recycle parts

Is there any places that recycle non-functioning computer parts? You know, like melting them down for the copper and gold or whatever they do to Li-ion batteries.
Preferably with some sort of cash incentive.

I usually take them to my local Altex store and they recycle them. I believe any store that specializes in electronic equipment can recycle them, or in the least point you to the right place.

    Re: Recycle parts

If you're serious about how these get recycled... RESEARCH THE COMPANY... There was a scheme uncovered a while back (and nothing was done about it) where "recycled" computer parts were just sent to china, where people would melt down the parts in very hazardous and pollution causing conditions...

    Research research research...

    Re: Recycle parts

I'm not so concerned about where it goes. I am more concerned with getting rid of it and maybe making a few bucks.
