I'm waiting for u-verse too... but i still really really really really miss my FiOS

Well.. first of all it's AT&T... SBC screwed me several years ago and I vowed never to give them another penny of my money. SBC later became AT&T. Same company, different name.

U-Verse is based on IPTV, as opposed to FIOS and Cable which follow the DOCSIS standard. You're locked into using AT&T's hardware and can't use any of the other solutions like HD TiVo or Moxi, because they rely on different technology... You can use older TiVo models to record, but only in non-HD format.

Google is always good for a laugh!

I am not big fans of AT&T either, they really fucked us over on DSL. Rate google is going, it will eat a rther large portion of microsoft's lunch and a good portion of its dinner too.

AT&T isn't the best but I'd prefer it to Comcast. I'm just hoping that U verse will have less than 20 random hops to get to TTP servers, and that my ping would be lower than my friend who lives in RI while I'm in TN.

My dad and I called up a while back because we had some minor trouble with our internet, and asked to talk to a US rep, which supposedly your allowed to do under law. Tussle over that, the tech hangs up on us and disconnects our internet without us knowing. When my dad found out MAN.....was he PISSED
