    Active X controls

I was just wondering if I should have active x installed on my PC. I tried to download something from the forum and it said I needed to download active x or java applet to run it.
Is this something I need to have?

activex is just a framework to run a program. In your case a java app.

generally there is a browser plugin thing that should be pushed to your browser. It should work in IE automatically, Firefox and chrome require hoops to be jumped through

I think default security settings in IE8 (and possibly 7) have it set to ask if you want to allow an activex control. On HERE I'd say you are ok. Watch where you allow others though.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.
