Have used both. Just one thing to consider as a factor. 16:10 more space for your game hud

I just go by the hrtz....

    Get a 120 hrtz monitor

Very Very Very easy on the eyes and Very good looking picture!

I was running a monitor with 75 hertz and was really good but now that i have a monitor that runs 120 hertz I will never go back! Nice and Clear!

Hertz on a LCD monitor doesn't mean the same as on a CRT monitor.

While raising the Hz on a CRT can relieve flicker and eye-strain, it doesn't do that on a LCD.

LCDs should always be run at their native resolution and hz. In the case of most LCDs, that's 60Hz.

The newer LCDs with 120Hz handles motion blur much better which is why it looks so good with FPS games, especially with lots of explosions and frenetic action.
