    IBook G4 Problem

    IBook G4

    Specs:
    1.07 Ghz
    40 GB HDD
    768 MB PC2700 Ram
    Tiger 10.4.11

The issue is that it will randomly go into sleep mode and the only way I can wake it up is by plugging in the power adapter.

I know that it will go into sleep mode if the battery is low, (correct?) but it does this when the battery is at a good level (85% etc)

Also, when I do plug in the adapter, as I said...it will come back on...but the battery is at 0%

    Bad battery?

    EDIT:
I have reset the p ram to try to resolve the issue ...with no luck.

You can adjust the settings for the battery mode to not go into sleep mode. This is set to turn off when it's plugged in which is why
it doesn't happen when it's plugged in.

The 0% on battery life isn't another story. I'm not sure what thats about.

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Honestly I have no idea. Looks fine for the most part. Someone with a little more knowledge of computers and Ibooks
specifically may be able to help you more.

Why does that do exactly, and can I turn it off?

    EDIT:
Hmmm...I don't think you can turn it off.
