dual display help needed

False, unless I'm misunderstanding you.

I have 3360x1050 backgrounds on my dual 22" setup. Just choose a single 3360x1050 jpg for your wallpaper, and set it to "tile." It will extend across both screens perfectly. You of course have to select the right monitor settings in the display properties.

I still think his problem might have to do with mixing VGA and DVI.

Well its not stretched if it is already the size of the multi screens silly! ;P
Ultramon will resize any image you want, not necessarily with great results, but if you tell it stretch, by golly, it'll stretch.

The DVI / VGA adapter is most likely not his issue. He just needs the right size bg image or ultramon to stretch it for him.
I recommend ultramon for the simple reason of the extended taskbar.

For best visual results Veo has the right idea, find an image that is the size of both monitors.

D'oh, I misunderstood the problem... I thought he was just in clone mode or something and couldn't get into extend desktop mode.

And yes, gross, why would you want to stretch an image? Unless you like your wallpaper models to look fat. :P

yeah no, stretching is not going to happen. So as long as I find an image that is 3200 X 1050...it will always be off, and windows 7 doesnt stretch the image to fill both screens? fail!!!

An image which is either stretched or scaled by Windows rendering will look junky anyway. Re-size it to the proper pixel count in a free image editor (Gimp or one of many others) before using it as wallpaper.

i run a muliti screen saver, i think the issue here is most SS dont support dual screens.

google plane9 that will run on both screens as if it was one. even has a box to check asking if you want dual monitor set up.

well hell, I understood his problem to be that he could not get the 2nd monitor to be an extension of his desktop. As in, his paper he is writing in one monitor and his streaming HD porn on the other monitor. instead, he's seeing porn on both monitors.

Or at least, that's the way I read the problem.

the tile feature is what is needed, I have found, you just need to figure out a way to re-size the width and height so that they are in the proper proportions yet, dont look screwed up :5 Some more time in paint is necessary
