Deleting old partition with new win 7 upgrade

ok so I installed win 7 enterprise over my old vista 64 bit OS.. Now I have an windows.old file that has my old shit.. I pulled everything I think I need, but I need to get rid of any part of Vista still on my system. My hard drive is about to be full as a mo fo.

Help? Oh when i tried to delete the windows.old folder a bunch of files say they might fuck up my shit if deleted.. what do i do?

They will only fuck your shit up if you were running that older OS that relied on those files. Certain files get tagged as system files and while they are no longer useful as the OS has been changed, they still have that tag, and thus give you that warning. You can delete them. Although it may give you errors saying certain files simply could not be deleted. In those cases you may have to boot into a command prompt or some disk management software to deal with it.

Aside from all the warnings and what not you should be able to delete the 'old' file with no problems.

You can get CCleaner and do a scan. It will find anything that can be deleted with no problems.

Or go to your start menu and put in "disk" in the search field... you will see 'disk clean' at the top come up - you can run that as well.
