Server Help

My friend is going to host his own PR server but when he tries running BF2CC server it comes up with an error and he has no idea how to fix it.

Any ideas on what to do?

Has he tried uninstalling/reinstalling the instance and re-running the patch? Maybe redownload the patch (depends on how the server is set up)?

Installed and updated DirectX?

Tried running the dedicated server executable directly (instead of through BF2CCD)?

The error isn't a CC error; the dedicated server executable itself is crashing with an assertion error early in the file, which usually means either the install is corrupted or there are some missing libraries (aka, DirectX) that it is failing to link to.

Thanks for the quick reply Draco and here is what he says to that: The server Will give this error only after installing mod manager 2.0

Did he try the version of MM that comes with BF2CCD (what is that, 1.4?)?

He says yes and that it won't work, same error.

Also says this: It has to do with modmanager, and will give the same error no matter what mod or whatever map
