Punkbuster not working at all.

Hi everyone

For the longest time now, I have had problems with PB.
At first, it'd just be problems with BF2, which hasn't really worked since I got it.
Then, I get BC2, and that doesn't work either.
Now, 2142 doesn't work, which is the strangest, because I never had problems with that one before.

I've tried manually updating PB, which worked for a single game (BF2), but then next time I booted up the game, it didn't work again.

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling without PB, and dling PB from an external source, and that too worked for a single game (BC2), but now refuses to let me stay in game for more than a few minutes.

Haven't tried anything for 2142, other than manual updating.

I haven't downloaded any add-ons other than PR, which I have since uninstalled.

The punkbuster error is relatively regular in all games, always something to do with either a heartbeat stopping or a heartbeat never being found. It is ALWAYS a PunkBusterB error.

My ping is always a steady 60 (BF2/2142) or 100 (BC2)
I have also checked my firewall settings, and the games, and both PB A and B are allowed to bypass it.
Lastly, I performed a virus scan, to no effect.

If there's any more information that could help, let me know. I will try to get some SS's of the error messages up tomorrow.
I really hope you guys can help me, as it's rather annoying to have over 100$ worth of games that simply don't work, especially when such awesome TTP servers are just out of reach. :8

Get PBSvc from Evenbalance and uninstall & reinstall your services.

I understand completely how you feel. I have not been able to play bf2 for a month now cause of PB. I have tried everything..... oh and i mean everything for it to get working. And nothing. Some of the stuff I tried might work for you some might not. You might have the same extreme issue I have.

Me on the other hand I am performing internal surgery this weekend on my comp and switching out ahrddrives. As my other slow computer doesnt have PB issues. I am switching the two hardrives out.... it might work after that for me if not then next is the network cards.
