    compatability question

    ok so i'm told a 9800gt is a cheapish card and would be better then my 5200fx 128mb

    but i'm told it wouldnt fit in the mother board
    Dell Computer Corp. 02Y832 motherboard

    graphic interface
    agp version 3.0

    transfer rate 8x
    max supported 8x
    side band enabled



    <mt> was told a 9800 gt would be decent for bf2

    Wont work.. You need to update your comp .. There is nothing you can do at the moment with your current setup.

    Honestly I'm surprised you can even launch the game..

    Yup he is right. The 5200FX came in either PCI or AGP format. The 9800gt is in PCI-E format which is not compatible with your current motherboard. You could probably upgrade for a few hundred dollars and play just about anything you want, but right now the motherboard you have probably has a single core CPU in it which is now becoming ancient.
