I just like to keep my desk nice and tidy. Don't want too much stuff on it as it just stands in the way.

Re: What do you play on?

Its either the camera angle or maybe the window being funny....

but it looks like you have a major stress on that video card, pulling it down towards those power connectors. Might want to relieve some of that stress, or you might run into problems with the motherboard slot in the future.

Re: What do you play on?

GPU sag is real. It is REAL!!!!!

My experience with GPU sag is from poor design by the GPU maker. The cards are too long and too tall, and the 3 layers of the card (PCB, back plate, and heatsink) are not all connected. By this, I mean that there are not a lot of screws that go all the way through the back plate and PCB and finally set into the heatsink.

The Nvidia reference design cards have this right. They are very well built and feel as if they are essentially just one single part. The more you separate the individual parts, and make them taller/longer, there will be more stress. You are basically relying on the two mounting screws to keep the card straight instead of allowing the structural integrity of the card to keep it straight.

Reference design = superior build quality, limited to no GPU sag, same old Nvidia looks, louder fan and lower ability to keep the card cool.
3rd Party design = inferior build quality, high probability of GPU sag, improved looks, superior cooling, but the card is also 1" taller and 1" longer.

It is personal preference on which card to buy, but I find myself almost always buying the reference design now, especially if I plan on water cooling them. Some of the 3rd party cards are not as power efficient, but have higher room for overclocking.

Re: What do you play on?

Oh, and looks great, Rumble. The Supernova 1300 is overkill for the build, but that PSU is a friggin tank. I have one sitting round that I kept from when I was doing scrypt mining. I started to sell off equipment when scrypt wasn't profitable to mine on the private side any longer, and I have an unopened Supernova left over. I loved them so much, I decided to keep it for... just whatever.

Re: What do you play on?

I had a few blue screens this summer due to my twin-frozr msi 980s slipping out of their sockets from gpu sag. Getting the more rigid msi sli bridge, screwing my gpu's in tighter, and modifying my cable management helped a good bit, but the distribution of weight on those tiny sockets is still causing some sag for me.

I might do some kind of case mod to handle the sag, I've seen a few nifty tricks online some case modders use

    What do you play on?

Yeah the sag worried me but it's in there right. I think I will look into a case the motherboard lays flat in. That might be my next buy.

Anyone have a suggestion other than the Corsair 540 Air?
