Re: HTC EVO 4G
The incredible is just that... incredible. Best phone I've ever owned.
If you want the 720p high def with mini hdmi port... The evo will be the one to get. Personally I don't plan on hooking my phone up to my tv. I have other devices for that. I've seen people mention watching high def on the phone but you can't... the phone is still 800x480 (WVGA) which is far short of the 1280x720 you'd need to watch HD on the phone itself. Resolution is the same between them though the incredible has a 3.7" screen vs the 4.3" screen on the evo. I wouldn't turn down a larger screen, but I don't need it. I do read ebooks on my phone though and another half inch or so would be welcome.
Other than those things, the phones are going to be pretty much identical.
(oh, and I'm paying 65/month I think for my phone; 450min + data + unlimited texting)

Re: HTC EVO 4G
verizon's gonna have 4g comin up pretty soon...instead of bringing little by little online at a time, they're gonna bring huge chunk online at once.
http://www.technewsdaily.com/verizon...r-100325-0355/
from my research, spring uses "WiMax" technology for their 4g...it's a shorter wavelength so it doesn't travel as fast, but the bandwidth is a bit higher...
Verizon (and later AT&T) use LTE, which has crazy long range, but slightly lower bandwidth...that's why they're able to cover so much so rapidly.
now, the article I linked is from march, so the date could've been pushed back by Verizon...couldn't find much better data.

Watch for price cutting for some of the weaker providers... then they may gain some market share from new customers. Existing Verizon customers will probably stick with Verizon, unless they jump ship because they want the iPhone.
