Intel® Graph Builder for Apache Hadoop software v2.0 helps data scientists simplify analytical relationships within large sets of data, while Intel® Distribution for Apache Hadoop software 3.0 features security and manageability enhancements for faster data encryption to help keep data safe and trusted. Lastly, the Intel® Analytics Toolkit for Apache Hadoop software enables easier implementation of predictive modeling tools for a range of industries and solutions. Intel announced today the availability of the Intel® Cache Acceleration Software – Workstation (Intel® CAS-W) to accelerate the time it takes for users to access important company data. Businesses with an existing storage infrastructure primarily using HDDs can now combine an SSD with Intel CAS-W to accelerate IO performance as an alternative to replacing the existing storage system with all SSDs. Digital artists can use Intel CAS-W paired with their 3D animation software to quickly pull an archived movie scene from storage for editing, or automobile manufacturers could quickly access data to develop innovative new designs. When using HDD IO performance as the basis for comparison, Intel CAS-W combined with an SSD achieved significant performance improvement with workstation industry IO benchmarks - Media and Entertainment (317 percent), Life Sciences (204 percent) and Energy (192 percent). The Intel CAS-W software is now available on select Dell Precision workstations.

Two Iconic Bay Area Organizations Connect with Intel Inside®

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The San Francisco 49ers and Intel Corporation today announced that Intel will become a Founding Partner and a preferred technology provider for the world's newest and most technologically advanced stadium, Levi's* Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The multiyear agreement is set to begin in 2014.

As part of the sponsorship agreement, the 49ers will work with vendors to integrate Intel solutions and products for client, server, embedded and security technologies inside the stadium. In addition, Intel will have exclusive branding and naming rights to one of the most heavily used pedestrian areas at the northwest corner of the venue, currently referred to as the "Northwest Plaza." This area will be re-named the "Intel Plaza" and feature a fan experience zone where fans can connect and communicate using the latest products with Intel Inside.

The agreement also includes an integrated media package that includes radio and television advertising, various hospitality assets, and the opportunity to host events at Levi's Stadium with customers and strategic partners throughout the year.

The new stadium, which lies just a few miles from Intel's headquarters at the Robert Noyce Building in the heart of Silicon Valley, is expected to be a showcase for technology. Levi's Stadium will be among the smartest in the world with an adaptable technology infrastructure, scalable hardware, enhanced game-day experiences and "bring your own device" opportunities.

Intel and VUDU, Walmart’s video service, announced the two companies are working together to deploy UltraViolet (UV) services that help simplify UV distribution, improve the video experience and reduce cost for the VUDU movie store. The services support both streaming and video downloads for UV and are easily integrated into apps on Windows, Android, and iOS platforms.
