I am looking to replace my linksys wrt54g wireless that's about 6 years old with something a little more gaming centric.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what to go with or what to stay away from.
I know that wireless is not optimal but a wired connection is just not possible with my setup.
Price range: under $150. I appreciate any help.(NC-17) Tractor: SODOMY: How it changed my life.

Re: Wireless router for gaming
I have one of these that replaced not only my old wrt54g, but the wireless on my Verizon fios modem/router as well. You can run two separate networks. An 802.11n at 5 GHz and a combined 802.11b and 802.11g at 2.4 GHz. Setup was pretty simple whether you want to use the auto connect button or do it yourself manually. I normally do it manually, but I got lazy when setting up the wet610n bridge for my PS3. Wireless networks are fine for gaming as long as you're not eating up network bandwidth with other stuff at the same time. Its not so great an idea for 802.11b, but its fine with 802.11g and with 802.11n you don't need to worry about hurting your gaming so much unless you're streaming medium to high quality video at the same time.
