    Don't listen to frag.

You can do it, but the market is limited. There are next to no games made for the Mac. If you have been keeping up with it, Steam only just started supporting Mac.

I wouldn't waste your money on a gaming laptop. You can't upgrade them.

    Get a desktop, but don't buy a pre-built one.

    Re: MAC + Gaming??

There are options on mac for gaming, but like linux it will never be the same as the native OS. Steam and TF2 are now available for the MAC, but I am not sure what games you are interested in.

What kind of a budget are you looking at?
What do you want to do with it besides gaming?

You are probably going to be better off getting a desktop for gaming and a laptop for portability. This can actually be done on the same budget as a gaming laptop if you are willing to build the desktop yourself, and get a lower end laptop.

    Re: MAC + Gaming??

About 1 and a half years ago I purchased a top-of-the-line gaming laptop for about $1200. It was a 10 pound desktop-replacement. At the time it had awesome specs, but here recently the newer games just wont work. Frames are too low.. I'm basically forcing myself to sell the laptop for about half of what I purchased it for, so I can build a new computer.

From someone that's been in your same shoes, if I had the option to get that laptop again, I would of not purchased it.

I would suggest a mildly good laptop, and building a budget gaming computer. It will save you money, and frustration later.
