Anandtech: The New iPad's iSight camera with 1080p HD Video Recording
The new iPad also features a 5MP rear facing iSight camera. It uses the same 5-element lens and hybrid IR filter from the iPhone 4S, the sensor is obviously different. Apple's ISP in the A5X supports 1080p HD video recording with real time image stabilization.

Anandtech: Apple's A5X SoC: Quad-Core Graphics
Apple just confirmed the new iPad uses an Apple A5X SoC. Its main improvement? What Apple is calling quad-core graphics. Our guess? Dual-core Cortex A9 plus a PowerVR SGX543MP4, an upgrade over the 543MP2 used in the iPad 2. Clock speeds are still unknown, however Apple is claiming 2x the performance over the iPad 2 implying equal GPU clocks.
It's also very interesting that Apple used NVIDIA as a baseline for GPU performance comparison, boasting 4x the performance of the Tegra 3.

Anandtech: The New iPad: Same Battery Life, Same Price, Slightly Thicker
Apple delivered the final details of the new iPad. It will be available on March 16th at the same prices as its predecessor (starting at $499 for WiFi). Preorders start today. Capacities up to 64GB will be available and there are the same two color options (black and white). As we already announced it will use Apple's A5X SoC - likely a dual-core Cortex A9 based chip with a PowerVR SGX543MP4.
To accommodate the higher resolution display the new iPad is thicker at 9.4mm vs 8.8mm for its predecessor. The new iPad weighs in at 1.4 lbs, slightly heavier than the 601 grams of the iPad 2. Battery life remains unchanged at 10 hours and Apple is claiming 9 hours of battery life on LTE. I suspect Qualcomm's 28nm LTE baseband is to thank for that.
