GTX 480 i believe it's called......what do you guys think about this card? Im not an ATI guy, like Nvidia... I'm also not that great with hardware and what to get.
Want to upgrade and upgrade to something nice to support 2 monitors.
Thanks,

I would either look at the superclocked 460 (fermi) or the 470, 465 is not enough extra increase for the bump in cost. Unless of course, you made bank and have cash burning in your pocket for a 480. You could actually get several things for the cost of a 480 which one could include a g-card that still will rock for quite some time.

I am going to play devils advocate here, I think you should go for a stock 5870, it is about the same power but it is more efficent in terms of its use of energy. As long as you use the Catalyst drivers from ATI the card is alright. The GTX 480 has power and overheating issues.

What resolutions are your monitors going to be?
- 1680x1050 = GTX470 or less (HD5850) for 60+ FPS.
- 1920x1080 or higher = GTX480 (HD5870) for 60+ FPS.

Or by two sub $200 cards and SLI them. You will get a much better bang for your buck and still have $100-200 to spare.
You can do whatever you want with your money, but unless you really feel like wasting it, never get a top of the line card. Always get the card right before the price jump. In 3-4 months you will be kicking yourself when this card drops $200-300 in price.
