I still have it. I am not shipping it back until Tuesday (when I get my Core i5. I will post them up in a bit. I ran 3D Mark Vantage, Far Cry 2, and HL2 Lost Coast (which runs above 200FPS for pretty much anything. I need to make a good L4D2 Demo and run some benchmarks for that with FRAPS.

E8400 Overclocked from 3.0GHz to 4.2GHz - P11531 3DMarks
Qx9650 Overclocked from 3.0GHz to 3.8GHz - P14260 3DMarks
There is clearly a performance gain... even when the Qx9650 is clocked 400 MHz slower. One benefit of the unlocked multiplier is that I was really able to fine tune my memory, which may have something to do with these results. Either way, it is a pretty big bump in performance from 3DMark Vantage (approx 24% increase).

And note the lower voltage on the Qx9650. I was running almost 1.4v on the E8400, but it ran cool and stable. I could barely get the Qx9650 to stay below 50c at at idle. Something is just wrong with this chip. Maybe a bad batch... or maybe just overclocked a lot.

Are you overclocking? If so, what are your specs? Either way, my temps are much too high under full load. With a max safe temp of 65c, I am pushing mid 70c temps under load. Sure, I can run stock at lower volts and safer temps, but what would be the point of that?
The architecture is designed to run cooler and with lower voltage and supposed to be able to overclock well without the need for increasing the voltage by a large scale.
