I'm still eyeing the Saitek X52 vs. the cheapo Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS (made for HAWX)

I have a Saitek X52, it's out of control. Very good setup. Not sure on any other recommendations for HOTAS.

1st Gen was a wide fucking monster, if you are in need to conserve desktop space 2nd gen is the way to go anyways. Found the G-key functionality useful mostly for RPGs, RTS. Screen was most useful to me when testing/debuging programs. Haven't had much use for it in FPS other than it's comfortable WASD layout.

Hmm.....I've never had a problem with any crashing or locking....and I use two of the LCDs (one on the G15v1 and one on the G13).

I haven't experienced a single lock-up of the screen apps. The only issue I ran into was with a third-party utility (Everest) that would force itself to the foreground of your LCD, even if you set it up not to. Been meaning to send an e-mail to Everest Support about that.

Shrugs. I only experienced it with update/statistic intensive apps. And even than fairly rarely. Maybe I should recheck up on their latest software version see if anything was mentioned on it.
