Motherboard failure.
Has any heard of a motherboard failure for causing your pc to not power up. I have had a problem with pc running fine ,shut down for the evening in am when I hit the power switch nothing happens. Pc repair shop said power sup was bad and changed it. Worked for two days and then failled to start next day. Took it back when tech moved a cable it started up. Said a loose connection was problem. Ran fine for three days and then would notstart in am. Took it back and they said the problem was somewhere in my motherboard and need to replace it. Any one have any thoughts on this. Could I have a virus that is causing this

If you've already replaced the power supply, the motherboard is the next likeliest candidate. Depending on how old your MB is, it could be any number of things... Could possibly be bad capacitors... A virus won't cause your PC not to power up. It will likely power up but fail somewhere in the boot process.
