I would do 1 5770 and see how it works... then if you decide to Crossfire you can always buy the second. I think that you will be happy with the one card. Dual cards are a novelty now with the sppeed and Mem capacity of the new cards.

I would seriously consider two GTX 460s. I just ordered two of them and paid $380 out the door with rebates. Two 460s will dominate a single 480 and 5850.
