Yes. The beauty with CrossfireX is that you don't need identical cards. I would try to find one similar to what you already have because CrossfireX can only run as fast as your SLOWEST card. So you wouldn't see any benefits from getting an overclocked or special edition card unless you overclocked your other card to match.

I always try to get a matched pair of cards when running CrossfireX or SLI, but with CrossfireX, you don't NEED to have a matched pair... just don't get a second card that performs well above your first card as you will be limiting the performance of the better card.

Thanks for the info and all the help, Heavy. I'll be heading home today to pick up all the parts for my new computer that finally arrived. I just ordered a 2nd 5770 card as it comes out to like 107 after a promo code discount and MIR so its not much more than the original one i bought. I'm looking forward to gaming with it. No more choppy times playing cs and no more low settings for fallout/civ V/SC2
