    Re: upgrading

Also, I've been noticing a lot of boards implementing on-board video. Now it's been awhile since if looked at hardware; is this the direction I should go?

    Re: upgrading

Most on-board solutions for video are not powerful enough to run games at the resolutions & frames you'd want.

NEVER go on-board video if you can avoid it.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

What is your budget? Also, how flexible is your budget? For example, if you would be able to get a huge boost in performance, how much extra would you be willing to spend.

Where would I need the boost at?

My past mobos were ABIT, but I guess they're no longer around.

    Re: upgrading

Biggest point would be price...Stepping up to an Intel I5 or I7 would increase your speed. I would also go with a 5770 GPU over the 450. If you give a price range I am sure people would chime in.

    Re: upgrading

Well I've never gone Intel before. Kind of a fanboy with AMD...

But, I got 500 for christmas and 500 for my birthday next month.

    Re: upgrading

If you have $1000 to spend I would go with an I5 system. I7 if you can swing it. I always had AMD until I built my new rig (I7) and watch out.... The i7 will make you a believer in INTEL.

I will take a look in a bit and shoot you some suggestions.
