Re: UPGRADE TIME!!!
sigh... copying off everything I need from my boot drive... 1TB raid 0 array so I better get everything... Steam folder is especially huge...
I haven't even broke out the new hardware yet (excepting a blu ray burner I just went and picked up)... This might take tomorrow to get everything back up yet.

Re: UPGRADE TIME!!!
IT'S ALIVE!!!!!! Damn motherboard needed two 8 pin connectors... I went with an 8 and a 4... I think it only needed the extra 8 pin if I was going to run quad SLI... which I'm not.
It's powered up... cpu is rock steady at 44C idle... drives are all powered up... raid array initialized...
Windows 7 Ultimate being downloaded (can't find my damnable disc!!!) And yes I have an MSDN subscription...

Good score. You should be able to break 30k if you overclock. I am getting over 30k with my i5-760 overclocked. That i7 should be able to push beyond 4 GHz.
