Thread: Clip Change

So this mobo/ram combo did not work out at all, I am back on the RMA roller coaster, of course new egg is being awesome. I will be getting my new mobo and ram around Wednesday. This sucks, MSI has the crappiest documentation of any company I have ever come across, and to boot they don't have a QVL for ram. At least ASUS gives me some guidance about what will and will not work.

In reply to your statement heavy, I also do video transcoding and parallel programming on this machine, which means that hyper-threading it worth it to me. But I do agree that the 2500K is an awesome processor. The funny thing is that with sandy bridge, by locking the base clock, intel is forcing you into the K CPUs in order to do any OC.
