Yeah the Eris is the same as T-Mobile's MyTouch which I have right now. Slow compared to the phones out now. If I try to move to fast the phone freezes for a few seconds.

All of which reasons why I can't wait to get my hands on that Droid and root it. Overclock the processor a bit, open it up for some custom themes... the thing is gonna be damn fast compared to what I use now.

In all honesty, you won't need to overclock it... Froyo overclocks it out of the box from what it was running at 2.0 or 2.1. I have no performance issues with my Droid. 2.2.1 made the performance even better.

My number is the same O.o.
    But I didn't swap providers.

Reasonably sure froyo doesn't overclock anything... What it does is have a jit compiler in the kernel now. Which speeds things up considerably.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

On the Motorola Droid, it bumped the processor speed like 125MHz. At least according to all the stuff I've read on several Android forums.

Rooted, with Saphire rom, and I'll be putting a theme and new kernel on it after a while.
