Mice are a very personal subject. Razer mice are generally regarded as top of the line gaming mice. Logitech & Steelseries (and others) are also highly regarded. From a feature standpoint, they're all pretty much the same. They all release new models/versions with minor improvements (higher DPI), but in the end it really comes down to how comfortable you are with the mouse. Razer in particular has multiple shapes/sizes of mice based on how you hold your mouse. They have a nice 'guide' based on your grip. 'Claw', 'Palm', and 'Hybrid'. If you feel it's too small for your hands, then that would be a red flag to me. Have you held the G700? If not, I'd try and find some place local you could go and hold one. See if it fits your hand better.

I have the same mouse and I absolutely love it. The wireless never lags or has any delay, battery lasts a good while (but won't last a whole day straight of gaming), and if the battery does die you can plug the cord into it.
BUT, if the mouse is too small for your hand to be comfortable, then I would definitely look into what alternatives you have. No matter how good a mouse is, if it isn't comfortable, it's useless. The mouse is the right size and shape for my hand, so I love it. I had a Logitech MX-518 before this one (for a good 5-ish years) and it never failed for me, but on the longer gaming sessions my hand would sometimes start to cramp on the right side and my pinky would hurt because of the way I hold mice and the shape of that mouse.
Oh, and in the States the mouse is $130
