You won't see overclocking on all 4 cores like on the 1156 and 1366 platforms, but at face value and stock speeds, Sandy Bridge is beating up on pretty much anything. That being said. I am not sure which is better... 4.0GHz on all 4 cores or 4.5GHz on a single core? I guess we will see.

Anyways, gaming performance is GPU driven. If the question comes down to where to spend that extra cash, graphics card should almost always be the answer for any serious gamer.
    Heavy, a couple things...
Yes, the OC is done using the multiplier so this is different than what we are used to.
As far as only OC on one core, I believe you are refering to the "non-k" variant of the chips. Correct me if im wrong...The non-k chips can OC higher but only using one core and they can OC but not as high using all cores.
Now, that is why us OC'ers buy the "k" variant chip which is fully unlocked and OC on all cores simultaneously.
And i agree too on the GPU being the current emphasis...maybe someday the CPU will be more of a factor. For example, i am still milking my E6850 dual core chip at 3.6GHz. This thing has lasted me over 3 years and i dont see any issues with games i play. My GPU is a GTX570 and it is the reason that i get to play BC2 on all high settings with a seamless picture.

Kanati, if you would like to take you OC on all cores, you could consider a sandy bridge chip...because it is simply better than the 950 and lesser chips.
