Need Help G500 Mouse

I have a G500 Mouse and it has been working great but all of a sudden the computer recognizes the middle mouse button as a second left mouse button. I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them with the updates from Logitech with no such luck. The button is mapped as a generic button under the setpoint software. Can anyone help?

Stop smashing the knife button... I would call logitech, I've heard they have good customer support, maybe you can get a replacement under warranty. If thats a no go, I would open it up and see if something is broken and hitting the wrong microswitch.

I called them today they will replace it. Just have to find a substitute mouse first.

It was too weird to be anything but a hardware problem.

Logitech is great. I had some mild scrolling problems with my MX518 and after a few emails back and forth, I had a new mouse on the way to my place. Didnt even have to send in the old one either!
