Got a Trojan, how do I get rid of it?

Maybe you can go into firefox and delete all your 3rd party cookies and then only allow ones from trusted sites.

I didn't see what advertiser it was, as my antivirus blocked it (you can see that the Advertisement window is blank). It seems to be a bad advertisement that is being served by the TPG sidebar.

Well, from what I can tell so far, the one I got was fairly easy to get rid of, but I'm still scanning to be sure it's gone.

I'm thinking I should reformat my drive on Spring Break, I was needing to anyhow.

Pote, Just got it again. I was veiwing a thread in the banned forums, walked away for a minute and came back to that pop up. Running Malware bytes now.

Edit: Malware Byes nailed it. Registry Hijacker.

its typically from an ad site. The ads run on the sides and the hackers hack the ad sites and load the malware onto it then when the ad rotation serves it up you get the virus instead of the intended legal ad. Its the whole reason I run no script and Firefox at work. It stops all those pesky little buggers.

The biggest key to all this ad malware is... it affects IE users more than the other browsers. Chrome and Firefox address security issues much quicker than Microsoft. The other consideration is typically plug-ins for your browser. Adobe Reader, Flash and Java are the top attack vectors over the last 18 months. Keeping these up to date is the key to secure browsing.

Yeah i had this happen on sat when i signed in to the forums... nothing as of yet but i didnt run malware. Gonna do that when i get home. Been a busy weekend.
