    TV Noob

So, I have finally got a steady balance in my bank account and money coming in consistently, therefore it is time to finally join the rest of the world and buy a flat screen! =)

I don't know much about TVs or these new fancy ones, but I did a little bit of research and this is what I am currently considering. Its main use is going to be sports (soccer) and Netflix/gaming via my 360.

    Thoughts?

Also, it seems that I might want to invest in a Sound Bar as well. Is anyone able to make any recommendations on that?

I have the same TV, minus a few of the features. Several people here have it as well. BB had that TV in a 46" bundled with a bluray player for 899 last week. So I would shop around and find a better price. I love it, great picture, energy effecient. Thin as hell, light weight so no problems wall mounting if you want.

Yeah, definitely keep an eye on our weekly ads at Best Buy, I know 3 week ago we were selling a LED Google TV that was 3D and was a 50 inch for $799. We only had 3 though, so it was a get there early or don't get it at all deal.

    Chizzle,

I have this exact TV as my bedroom TV. The color is great and the blacks are pretty damn black. The picture has a deep feel but I had to mess (tune) my picture for a few days to fine tune it. Sports looks great on this thing. BD looks great as well. I would always check out what you buy. I researched a bunch also and picked this one over a bigger TV because of the picture quality. Thin Thin Thin Thin Thin did I mention Thin? Makes LCD's seem like the old 'Boob Tubes'! As Flame said, see if you can find a better price. I got mine last year for about $1k. They should be cheaper now. Hope I helped. I may be a little biased
