Info om a video card.

I just got an ati hd4650 pci-e ddr2 1g for free. I looked up the name and it does not look like the ones i am finding so i am assuming its an older model then whats on the market. Anyone know if this is worth anything for gaming?

Currently i run on board which is a ati radeon hd 3200. So going by number i would say it is but we all know the realitof that shit has long past. In the end i would assume it would say its probably an upgrade due to memory on it because the onboard is a 256. My main concern is going to be the new battle field. I dont want to bother putting it in and download the drivers if im going to have to switch it back out later. Any info you guys have would be a help. Thanks.

It's defintely an upgrade, but I'm not sure how it would run BF3 as it is two generations ago and not the best offered out of the 4000 series.

The 5000 series should run BF3 at least on low-med settings I think. The 6000 series should be able to get close to maxing it out.

4650 is a mid range 4000 series card that is somewhat capable of gaming.You can run most games, but not all that well.

Damn i was hoping for a bit better. If im going to have to buy a new power supply to run a new video card i might as well buy a new system and call it a day.
