Backup Drive - fire and water proof
I'm looking for a backup drive for business use and wondered if you guys might have some experience with them. Just from google right of the bat I've seen some hard drives from Sentry and ioSafe ranging in price from 200 to 700. I'm unfamiliar with these brand names...

How much storage does it need? How many machines does it need to backup? An off site backup sounds much safer rather than worrying about something being fire/water proof. Nothing is more water/fire safe than an off site solution.

always offsite that stuff. Even better, if your security policy allows, offsite it to something in the cloud that has mirrors. Anything physical can be destroyed, no matter how much fire-proofing or water-proofing it has. Plus, the offsite data can be available right away following a disaster whereas your fireproof drive, even if it survives will need to be located in the rubble first. Every IT shop should have a well-documented and tested disaster recovery plan. The tested part of that always seems to get overlooked though....Sleep, eat, conquer, meditate, repeat.
