Ah, yea there's a difference. Keeping it simple, if you want to max out everything for graphics you'll need more memory as new games tend to suck up a boat load. The GPU is what really counts, but the memory is still a key part. The real thing to ask youself is do you want to spend the additional 147 to be able to maxamize games for 2 or 3 years to come or can you find a better way to use the 147 awhile you maxamize the games you have now, like BC or Crysis 2, and manage with only medium settings in 3 years.
