I have the Razer Tarantula. It is discontinued, but it is a great keyboard. It doesn't have backlighting and is not mechanical, but I prefer it to many other keyboards I was able to get my hands on.
Keyboards are subjective. While some people prefer the responsiveness of the keys, others prefer ergonomics, others prefer bells and whistles. It is tough finding one that meets ALL of your needs. Sometimes you have to decide what is more important and sacrifice a feature or two.

I guess if I had to pick, back lighting would be the most important. I don't think I'll go for the G19. $180 is a little too expensive for me in terms of what I'd be getting. Choices choices.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Re: Keyboard
You use itunes? If so, the G15 (or whatever they are calling the latest version with the basic lcd) is for you. I have had a G15 (v1) for about 5 years now, and LOVE it.
Right out of the box it supports both TS and Vent, as well as 2142, FRAPS, and Xfire.
I have an applet for BF2 (which is actually better than the stock 2142 version), and a GREAT itunes applet (you can control itunes directly from the kb).
Another option is the G13, which is by far the best game pad on the market ( absolutely blows its Belkin/Razor counterpart away). It too has the lcd, and can be used in tandem with the lcd on the G15 (as in both displaying different applets at the same time).

Re: Keyboard
I have had Both, The razer Tarantula and i currently am using the logitech g19, The tarantula is sitting in my closet being unused in the box, I used it for prolly a year or so then the g19 came out and i just HAD to have it, The only thing i dislike about the g19 is the fact u have to power it by plugging it into the wall outlet AS well as USB. Either way the g19 is absolutely AMAZING!!! and i will never buy another keyboard until it dies and then when it dies im buying either the same one or w.e the new g series is from logitech at that time.
As far as the tarantula, it was cool but i didnt really like the feel of the keys, the keys reminded me of a laptop keyboard only with a softer hit and i wasnt a big fan of it.

I still like my Tarantula, but I will likely go with a Black Widow once this baby dies on me. Glad you liked it. I have only tried it out in the stores. Hell, when I bought the Tarantula, it was all risk as nobody had them in the stores. At least more places are carrying Razer products nowadays.
