Anyone heard about this yet? It's a cloud service that lets you store mp3's and AAC format music and access it from most any device (no app for apple at the moment). The first 5GB are free, any music bought from Amazon is stored for free, you get an additional 20GB of storage space for buying one mp3 album from Amazon, and additional storage costs $1 a GB per year.
It seems pretty cool. Amazon says it doesn't allow for podcasts to be uploaded, but NPR was able to upload a podcast as an mp3 and play it.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

Re: Amazon's new cloud service
I use drop box right now for my data and I have more than enough room. All my photos are stored with google. All the music I need daily is on my phone or iPod with a lot of room to spare. With the carriers slowly moving away from the unlimited data I don't care to stream music that I own.
Don't forget that the 20GB that you get for buying an album is good for a year. After that you have to pay for the same space.
Plus I don't like this:

What about Items which have no copyrights associated with them yet, Photos, Artwork, Ideas, Unpublished books/ articles, All of these have nothing to do with Illegal music. but I guess if it were THAT important then you'd just want a hardcopy. So where's that leave the cloud?Last edited by SmokenScion; 03-29-11 at 05:14 PM.

Amazon Server Troubles Take Down Reddit, Foursquare & HootSuite
Some of Amazon’s AWS services, which together comprise the company’s cloud computing platform, are currently experiencing technical difficulties, and it’s very visible on the social web.
HootSuite, Reddit and Foursquare are some of the sites that rely on Amazon AWS, and all of them are either down or have recently experienced downtime or latency issues. Quora and Formspring also appear to be down Thursday morning.
