Hi, Antec 300 comes with washable front filter.

My goal is to not needing to pick cat hair out of my video card and CPU fans. Lol, and it looks like it already has filters, so thats rad. I didn't notice that in the description.

"The front panel includes a pair of USB 2.0 inputs as well as jacks for a headphone and microphone. The front bezel is perforated for maximum air intake and it has a washable filter to reduce dust within the system."

Thanks for setting me straight on that.

May try putting the side-panel fan in as an exhaust fan and lower the pressure further in the case. Still trying to track down why my CPU is running so warm when idle (50C) at stock speed/voltage. May need to re-apply thermal paste. It doesn't really go up an exceptional amount when under load (7-10C) so it's definitely not a HUGE concern, but at idle it should be running in the 40's, even with the stock cooler.
i've put my cpu stock cooler fan at 100%. Bios...

The stock cooler at 100% is way too damned noisy. No thanks.

    Re: Improving a case

    I've got an idea...

You know where the mobo screws down onto the backing plate inside the case. The mobo is actually risen thus not touching the backing only at approx 9 risers. So i thought about cutting the backing plate out half inch inside the risers. Install a 200mm fan on the side panel (in the centre of the mobo) as air intake. I would need a 200mm dust filter.

I wonder what this mod would infact do for temps...

    Re: Improving a case

I found that the rear fan was fighting with the top fan/i used a sheet of toilet roll to test which direction the air was infact going. I have fitted a dust filter & now rear fan is intake. It has dropped my temperatures. You can only do it if you have your aftermarket cpu heatsink/fan fitted so it is blowing out towards the top fan. The rear intake fan is blowing cold air towards the cpu heatsink & VRM heatsinks thus the hot air is out the top fan.

( I'm gona make my own line of cases & call them "AIR-'DON'-PRO" :P )
