    this is old news i know

    Just wonderful seeing as how my GPU just went out and now my computer randomly freezes.

    I have a BFG 9800gt, and was just looking them up to see if I could do an RMA, and it says PNY has stepped up and will working with BFG customers to exchange their video cards... oh but only till December 2010. Just fn great.

    As an exclusively Nvidia shop, they tied themselves to the ebb and flow of the graphics card wars. They basically put all their eggs in the green basket. I think it is smarter to sell both green and red cards.

    While I agree with you, Gumby, I would say that EVGA is the company that stands alone as an exclusive nVIDIA manufacturer. That being said, I am no longer falling for the "lifetime warranty" marketing. Companies fail and warranties will void. Why pay an extra 10%? I will stick with the 2 year warranty. I will likely buy a new graphics card within 2 years anyways.

    Sapphire is another company that seems to be having great luck being proprietary ATI/AMD. They put out some great products and have great service. If I ever go with an AMD graphics card, I always go Sapphire because I have always had a great customer experience.

    I had a saphire Radeon 9500 Pro. It was a great card.
    My current 6870 is XFX. So far, so good. My last card was EVGA 8800 GTS, also very good.
