I have been trying something new this week. Rather than running a single SMP client on my CPU, I am running several standard clients. I have 7 clients setup, but I think the sweet spot is to keep 5 of them running. This way, my CPU is never maxed out and all of the workers continue to run at full speed.
I found that 7 clients running on the same CPU was giving me lower points per day than running 5 clients. With the 5 clients, I am getting over 16k points per day, plus an additional 35k points per day from my graphics cards.
Also, who here is running HMF.net? It is a great application that tracks the progress for all of your work units. I suggest everyone that has multiple clients running look into this program.

Started to fold again.
Would be running more than just one of my 460's, but I'm afraid my box will overheat. Need to put a big ass fan in the side of my case or something to keep those cards cooled off.Why no rank?
Because that isn't why or how I play.

Glad to have you back!! I added one 80 mm and one 120 mm fan to my case to bring temps down. I also worked on cable management to reduce obstructions to airflow. And (I think we already discussed this) I use EVGA Precision to boost fan speed to 80% on my two 460's; temps are around 70 degrees C in a warm room.
