No, not at all, what is that smell...

In truth the only thing that it can do is wear out components faster, however, since your going to replace them in on the order of three years anyway it probably not going to hurt anything.

Yeah the only issue would be your electric bill really...

just set both my gpu and cpu to run. they'll be up 24/7 most likely so we'll see how I do on the rankings ;x

Not great machines in any way, but we just got them for internet usage/writing up contracts. I run them right now 24/7 since my rent is full service, meaning cleaning ladies, electricity, water, included. I signed up for WorldCommunityGrid a while back to donate my pc time since I know we would not be using them.
I don't know if these machines would be of use to the TPG folding team, if they are just let me know what I have to do to donate them.

+1, Viktor_Olin and HeavyG will be happy to see this post. I was actually going to talk you about that the other day. I think we just have to go install the software on each one. But how do we register all 8 to the team? Do they all need unique user names?

No; just use the team ID number (204219) when setting up each client, and the team gets all of the points. The user name can also be the same, so if Joker86 wants all of the points, he can enter that name in the settings for each client. Or, 4 of the PC's could have Joker86 as the user, and the other 4 could have MaFioSo, whatever you decide.

Yep, get a Passkey. The Passkey is matched to the user name, so it can be used with each client set up with that user name.
