MaF,
As far as the 100% CPU utilization, that's the default; see this (I'm at work, so I can't check my client to see what setting they're talking about): Folding Forum • View topic - Lower CPU utilization
I had that pause and shutdown issue with the new beta initially; I think a restart fixed it, and it hasn't returned."A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

I friggin suck. I had my folding turned off yesterday as I was ripping my Bluray collection of Deadwood for my HTPC, and I forgot to restart when I was done. I went about 12 hours without any folding!

Thanks I found out how to configure the cpu and gpu utilization. Lowered cpu percentage to 35% and its still using 90%. Its actually a lot better because my cpu runs a lot cooler at 90%. Still I don't want it to be using that much processing power, going to try to re tweak. If it doesn't work, I'll probably just go back to running both the cpu and gpu software instead.

Re: TeamPlayerGaming Folding Team
What's your CPU temp while running at 90%? I let mine run at 100% all the time; as long as the temp is at or below 60 degrees C I'm not bothered. My GPU's on the other hand, run in the 70's with the fans set at 90%. Toasty!

Re: TeamPlayerGaming Folding Team
Runs around 60 C at 90% which is not bad but if I'm going to use it I want to be able to lower the percentage. So when I get on and have to work on something I can lower the percentage to free up some space to process my work. I notice in using the old client, my cpu is around 18%, is there a way to increase the percentage using the old client??
Also in using the GPU client, one of my video cards is running around 73 C which I don't mind. However, I don't think the old GPU client is using both my video cards. With the beta client it will list both so I know I'm using them.

Talked to my college president today. We may put all 4000 of our computers online with the folding. Biggest question is does This have ANY possible security risks?

We are a community college. We have 3 campuses and don't do anything on that level. Why let these resources go to waste?

Re: TeamPlayerGaming Folding Team
My brother (Joker) and I just installed the folding software on all the computers at our office. However, I realized that it would probably be better if we installed the beta software instead. We just installed the original software and its only using about 30% of the cpu so were going to go back tomorrow and install the beta which will use 100% of the cpu.
Also, as of right now the computers are set to go back to the windows user menu after an hour of inactivity. It does not log out the user completely because when you log back on all of your stuff is still how you left. Will this stop the folding software from running? Just curious, I can always just change the settings so it doesn't go back to the user menu.
