Hmm nice build, personally would've gone with Intel (even though I have an AMD build) since the 2600K and the 2500K are beast overclockers and just beast out any of the X6/X4 AMD has. Well at least you'll be able to upgrade to the Bulldozer chips.

I do plan on upgrading to the bulldozer chips soon as I can muster up the dough....

Try running 3DMark 11. It is a bit more demanding, features tessellation, and has more demanding physics processing. Your GTX 590 should do very well.

The AMD 1055T is a good CPU and should be capable of running ANY game out there for the next year... especially when tied to that GTX 590. You shouldn't need to upgrade for a while.

Re: Perhaps a few would be interested in my computer build... (56k/DSL warning)

I have the 1055T overclocked to a conservative 3.5 ghz as well... so its not really a 1055T anymore......

I have run 3DMark 11, but the drivers for this card have problems right now. DX11 features have poor performance right now not to mention the issues currently with the limiter that the bios AND driver enforce on the two chips of the 590. The topic of discussion right now is that the voltage is being limited to the 2nd chip on the 590....

So when a heavy work load is demanding more power the voltage raises to meet the demand, except the over current protection limits it.... and the way it limits it is cutting the amp/voltage supply to only the second chip. People are currently in talks with both evga and nvidia about this issue, because the bios and driver play a role in this 'feature'. It is rather frustrating, but I will just wait it out and see what happens.....

As for 3Dmark 11, here is some scores:

    P7733 3DMarks Result
    P7691 3DMarks Result

Something to note with these scores, the gpu utilization of the 2nd chip is ~40% during both tests..... as opposed to maxed out utilization during the tests.

Also something else I didn't mention earlier, with 3dMark vantage, the gpu utilization is equal the entire time, but they don't stay at 100% like they should... there are dips all the way down to 20% in some places...... basically there are weird things going on....

just be carefull with the 590 they have a habbit to burn up if overclocked..nice setup thou i very much like the case, but litlle to big for me! i have also AMD phenom II X6 1100T BE on ASUS Crosshair IV Formula, but i cant find anywhere that my mobo would be compatiblle with the new bulldozers!

edit BIOS Upgrade needed...good to go
