[CLOSED] BF2 Game-play Issue

Had a bunch of issues where it would just get stuck loading SF/patch 1.1 so I decided to just buy it on steam cause I wanted the overlay, and couldnt get it to work otherwise. Only $20.

You'll be disappointed. Steam Overlay doesn't work AT ALL with BF2, regardless if you purchased the Steam version or the CD/DVD version. It's a Punkbuster issue that DICE/Steam can't fix.

Yeah, I realized. At least I dont have to worry about the hours it takes to load from the disk when I format in a few weeks.

Yeah. Steam definitely saves you a TON of time installing/patching BF2. As a FYI... you get Special Forces with it as well, even though it doesn't publicize it. Just connect to a SF server and it'll load the SF version and connect.
