    I think that AVG has something for linux , however usually the solution to the problem is to wipe the user directory. If you make the user a non admin, and do not give them sudoing privileges then you will be fine. The UNIX security model is based on the notion that regular users are stupid so they are never allowed to do anything, like touching the root directory or installing things. Also, I have only ever heard of a couple of Linux viri, and they were distro and kernel specific. Keep the machine up to date and don't let the user touch anything and you should be fine.
