Anyone know any good programs for sound editing/mastering/etc.? Noise reduction is also a must.
At the station, we've been using Adobe Audition 2.0, but we definitely need an update since that came out ages ago.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

Re: Sound Editing software
Depends on what you're looking for. Fruity Loops, Reason and Pro Tools are pretty top of the line. What are you doing? There can be a lot of reasons for having noise, first I would make sure that the cables are balanced or shielded from things like radio waves. It's not uncommon to pull radio frequencies through cables/amps/etc and have them amplified. Keep cell phones away from your equipment or leave them off. What are your goals, I may be able to help a bit.
I'm no pro but my background is in audio engineering. (It's hard because you really need a lot of money to become a good engineer...)
